Action and Collaboration key themes for 2020 Conference
Following the success of the 2019 event that was the largest multi-sectored climate change event to be held in the West Midlands last year, the programme for the 2020 event is fast developing.
Speakers signed up for the event so far include internationally respected environmental and sustainable development campaigner, Jonathon Porritt, CBE; Unnikrishman Nair, Head of Climate Change at the Commonwealth Climate Change Office; Sir James Wates or David Allen of the Wates Group; Councillor Waseem Zaffar, Chairman of Birmingham Climate Change Taskforce, Paul Dockerill, Director of whg (Walsall Housing Group) and others. The 2020 event will be chaired by Professor Martin Freer, Director, Birmingham Energy Institute at the University of Birmingham.

"We will trash our children's future"
So said John Firth of internationally operating Acclimatise who opened our 2019 conference, the fifth in the series of events I have organised in conjunction with Jacqui Staunton of Climate Change Solutions of Coventry.
This event with a focus on the practical implications of climate change just as regional and local centres of administration had, one after another, declared "Climate Change Emergencies", was the biggest multi-sectored climate change conference to be held in the West Midlands in 2019.
